who I am and what I do. I live in Northern Nevada surrounded by panoramic
mountain views and wide open land dotted with majestic sage brush. At night
the stars are unmasked and shine brightly with the Milky Way twinkling just
over head. We're in the high desert, just a short distance to our historic
Capital I love it here! Like most of those I've met here, I am a California

I drive my daughter to school, clean the house and cook dinner. I garden and take out the trash. I love my Boxer Dogs, boating, dirt bikes and atvs too. Yes, I have time to do all the things I like because I have my own home based business. I set my business hours around MY life. I don't set my life around a JOB. Flexibility, Freedom and Fun; 3 important factors in home business. 'May the dreams of your past be the reality of your future' What I Used To Do: I worked Full Time outside the home for over a decade. I was in retail, sales, administration and office management. I earned a good living but after the birth of my daughter in 1998 I dreamed of being home to raise her. I spent three years trying to find a way to make that dream happen. Then, finally frusterated with the 'corporate world' I walked in and quit. It was the best thing I ever did, and I have never looked back. However, with the instant loss of a paycheck I was very motivated to bring in extra income. "Whether you think you can or can't, you are correct" Henry Ford What I Realized: When faced with the fact that there would not be a paycheck in 2 weeks, I was forced to look at the situation and make a decision. Move forward and succeed, or sit still and fail. I wanted to succeed, so I moved forward - failure was not an option. Like The Little Engine, I think I can, I think I can... Martin Luther King Jr. What I Experienced: Even while I was still working Full Time for someone else, I tried several things to generate a work at home income. Home Typing, Stuffing Envelopes and several different home businesses. Home Typing and Stuffing Envelopes did not make me one penny, I actually lost money as the companies I found were not legit. With the home based businesses I did not have the support or the passion as I was following other peoples' dreams not my own. So I quit. No one's fault by my own. I know it was not failure, just stepping stones to where I am today. But I experienced a lot and learned many new lessons as I moved forward... |
